Forget Your Future

Neggy Gemmy (formerly known as Negative Gemini)

first ever album. never pressed before, and never to be pressed again.

transparent lavender variant rare 2011 record 100% electronica
This is Neggy Gemmy's first album, originally made in 2011 during a messy, haunted, ultra-online era in Richmond, Virginia — back when Tumblr energy, early sea-punk aesthetics, and witch-house weirdness were still very much alive.

It was her first fully self-produced album after the end of her rap group, created while broke, uncertain, and focused almost entirely on making and performing music. The record feels eclectic and experimental, with hints of the sound she would keep building later. Songs like Negative Gemini and Slit Show already point toward what was coming next.

The cover art came from her friend Travis, whose work captured the strange darkness of the album perfectly.
“I wanted to be more personal and authentic with this project.”

why this one matters
it’s a first-album time capsule: self-made, emotionally messy, internet-haunted, and totally from a specific 2011 world. the transparent lavender pressing makes it feel even more special — like a little ghost artifact from that era.
